Selling a home in the Everett Washington Real Estate Market?

If you are considering putting your home on the market; listed bellow are 5 tips to aid you in the selling process.  If you do not have the time to spend on selling your home usually about 30 to 60 days these tips are designed to quickly sell your home and a fair price.

 

  1. Use a Real Estate Agent from Dale Packard and Associates as we are the top producers in your neighborhood.  Please feel free to interview several agents and you will find that we strive to be the right agent for you.  We are actively listing and showing homes like yours each and every day.
  2. Pricing along with the use of a current market analysis from a our real estate agents you can also use a residential appraiser (they cost about $300).  An appraiser will compare you home to other homes in your neighborhood that have recently sold. After you receive the appraisal with your agent don't list your home for more that 5% more that the appraised amount.  Allow some overhead for negotiation.
  3. Remove clutter — in removing the clutter in your home your rooms will look larger and cleaner than with all of the clutter in them.  Pack items that you don't use in boxes, throw away all the items that you no longer want or need. Learn more about dangerous clutter such as mold here.
  4. Show your home and make it easy to do so.  Our agents will use a lock box on your home and with your approval allow your home to be shown on a few minutes notice.  Our agent or a buyers agent will show your home when you are not there.  This will allow the potential buyers to speak openly about your home with their agent.
  5. If possible offer to help with the closing costs in the transaction. (more than likely you will be asked to do this anyways hence the padding of the price of the home.)  By paying the closing costs and leaving some appliances also maybe offering a carpet allowance.  It's better to let the new home owners pick their own colors they will be happier that way.
